New Weekend Activities Task Force at Steamboat Mountain School

The students at Steamboat Mountain School have formed a new activities task force, a.k.a. "The Anti-boredom Committee."
They have met and taken an in-depth look at how our Weekend Activities Committee can continue to grow with the student body.  The task force consists of students Christian De Oliveira (2016-17 Prefect), Jazzy Lynch (Current Weekend Activities Committee Chair), Hayden Entress (Current Weekend Activities Committee member), Hana Schrock (Task Force Volunteer), Amanda Engstrand (Task Force Volunteer), and faculty members Hayley Berg (Faculty Volunteer) and Brian Smith (Dean of Students). The committee developed a brief statement that describes their newly formed group: “We believe that academics as well as extracurricular activities give the Steamboat Mountain School students healthy and fun weekend options that allow students to participate in the full Steamboat Mountain School experience.”  They will continue to meet and develop a calendar and activities for both day and boarding school students.
