Spring clean up and community service

On Thursdays, all hands are directed to community service. This week, we had half of our students work on County Road 36, as we have adopted a large section of the road, and the other half of the Intersession students cleaned up trash along a section of the Yampa River and the Core Trail in downtown Steamboat Springs.

As faculty member Mr. Tesar stated, "a day of service along the river is a truly enjoyable, beneficial, and memorable experience for students. As a mountain school, one of our greatest duties is to give our students experiences in the out of doors--- especially those that prepare them to be stewards. A river clean up places the importance of our relationship with land and water in the hands and hearts of our students."
